I believe the person said "When the 1080p bomb drops in November"

I didn't believe it was going to happen, but now look at this! I'm glad to see projectors becoming so much more popular and affordable since I've always wanted one but never really could justify the costs...

I do somewhat agree about the "expensive bulbs" problem, but the other thing you have to realize is that people want small, quiet projectors with no light leaks. In order to use less expensive lamps you have to sacrifice on all three points. It's kind of unfortunate that there isn't a very good option when you *are* willing to make that concession, but at the very least if you are thinking about it now, then at least you can make an informed buying decision based on replacement bulb costs...

John Laur

Comments on BenQ's W10000 1080p DLP projector

I won't buy anything from Benq after what they did to former Siemens Mobile.

lejupp

Comments on BenQ's W10000 1080p DLP projector

Nice to see higher res projectors coming out at affordable prices, however I've heard pretty much nothing but bad things about Benq's projectors (and their ability to service them). Comparing to other installs, it beats the Sharp and Vidikron models in their respective fields, and it's the extremely quiet! The only element I wish we had was more controls of the geometry. There is no rotation, pin cushion or horizontal adjustments, just lens shift up and down, so mounting is key. A great projector overall, 9 out of 10 rating for me.

Bmode

Comments on BenQ's W10000 1080p DLP projector

By the way the component hook up on the back of the projector is now color coated so hooking up is elementry.

Bmode

Comments on BenQ's W10000 1080p DLP projector

By the way the component hook up on the back of the projector is now color coated so hooking up is elementry.

Bmode
