Huh? I don't get it. I don't see the Zune being any better than the iPod, and *I* really don't like iPods. The Zune is just a re-branded Toshiba (http://www.twice.com/article/CA6366785.html) and not even a great one at that.
I'll give you one thing... Zune has hype, and marketing, and a sleek interface, but common, style should never win over substance. (Hence the reason I dislike iPod's so much.)
I say, if you do some research, you can find some damn good mp3 players that do more, cost less and will help you stray from the evil-empires (M$, Sony, Apple et al.). But that's just my opinion.

I saw the zune, and i could see myself using it, and using it more then the ipod at that.
I really dislike the apple rumors and fanboyism that you see everywhere.
The zune is customizeable ( unlike the ipod) has a sleek interface, and has the right vibe. I haven't gotten the sence of, useablelity, from other products till the zune.

you can argue all you want the the marketplace is bad yadah yadah. but i havent used the apple marketplace much either, and also have qutie a few probelms with it.

anyway, its holdiay season. Put away your fanboyism, product favors, and opinions.

But surely they have a plan to use the same store beyond the borders of the USA. Not everyone pays with US$ out there. I think it's a clever move. Let's see if they'll double the prices in Europe like they do for basically anything out there.

Sure not everyone uses USD $. But it is a world known currency, where a decent amount of what is sold online is often converted or at least shows the USD price.

You can easily implement different prices with different currencies, the iTunes Store does it. Again, the point system is just a cover of how much you are really spending. Honestly, doesn't 79 points sound better than 99 cents?

In any case, the Zune Marketplace is still retarded. If they want to kill the iPod it needs to beat it hands down, not just match it or even slightly better it.

When the Zune started out they talked about it being friendly with 'underground' and then they go giving a share of every product sold to the record company, and have the sharing of music from device so difficult and locked down no one is using it.
