How do you think Japan got to be as advanced as it is today. By ripping off designs of popular American and European goods and then selling them for cheaper. Then over the years, improving upon them.<br>Just off the top of my head Nikon comes to mind. They ripped off the Zeiss ikon camera in the 1950's.
