By the looks of it, that strap needs to be reinforced. I wouldn't exactly blame Nintendo for this because it should be obvious that you should play safely to prevent causing harm to bystanders and televisions. DO NOT THROW WIIMOTE!!! After this though, Nintendo should do the right thing and beef up the strap.

This is why the US is last on the gadget introduction list.
