At that resolution there is a comparable experience to two 19" 1280x1024 LCDs (can someone help me out with the DPI numbers?) with the benefits of one panel and a more realistic price than the 30" variety.  My guess would be 799 USD at launch (which is what I paid for my Dell 2001FP a few years ago. I've held off on the 240x monitors because by all accounts, the component/vga connections are awful and the 30" is dual link only.. The tighter the pixel pitch (smaller the pixels) and the more of them your monitor has IS what makes anything on them look better.<br><br>Compare a screen to a printed document.. the higher the dpi (dots per inch) a print has the better it will always look.... each dot is comparable to the pixels in a  screen. Its the same concept. <br><br>I know many of you know this and want screens with the dell 30" rez on a nice 20-23" size screen. So if you downrez to 1080, the clarity will suffer badly...<br>I think there is a need for this 27 incher - I can hardly wait to try one. I like to lean back in front of my PC, so I need bigger pixels... Plus it keeps me from investing into a new vid card... My PS3 is also 1080p native...
