Iiyama's budget 32-inch HDTV LCD
Japan's Iiyama is pumping out another sweetie this morning with this, their latest 32-inch offering which may or may not be destined to leave the shores of Nippon. The C3202WTV-B1 set features an integrated terrestrial digital/analog tuner, 1366x768 resolution, 550cd/m2 brightness, 8-ms response, and 1000:1 contrast ratio. It also packs the usual 176-degree visibility and humble set of in/outs including HDMI, S-Video, composite, and even DSub-15 RGB for the old PC -- no component though for you, Jack. Besides throwing back a nice, clean design, the only thing that stands out here is the price, just ¥109,800 or about $938 should Iiyama ever decide to grace their modest, rest-of-world portfolio with this model. Yeah, it's not as cheap as an $845 Polaroid, but it's not as cheap as an $845 Polaroid either, ifyanowhutamean?

forget this...go get the Konka 32" LCD at tiger.com for $499. It is actually surprisingly good w/ 1200:1 contrast ratio, hdmi, component and ATSC tuner. XBOX360 looks very nice on it.
in comaPersonally I think its Ugly. I actually ran across a better buy on newegg.

e-cost has had a 32" westinghouse refurb on sale for under 600 for months. I bought one and it's as advertised. in other words, very very nice, esp for the price.

People are amazed when I tell them what I paid for it.
Agree, slargent. The Konka looks like the buy of the season.
Why are you hating Polaroid? My sub-$1000 WalMart special 37" from Polaroid rocks! It gives me great HD, XBox 360 gaming, and Media Center computer connectivity in my living room.
I just wish I knew who actually made the thing, but just out of curiosity.
Westinghouse LTV-32w6 is a "sleeper" 32" LCD that has a surprisingly good picture. It is now pretty well known for having a better picture than most other 32" LCD TV's, including brand names such as Samsung, Toshiba, LG. I bought mine for $699 at Best Buy, and IMO the only 32" set that had a better picture were the Sony sets.
don't know about the US, but here in Japan you can also find this Samsung LN32R71B ( 1366×768 500cd/m2 5000:1) that looks better to me for the exact same ¥109,800. Ok, no digital tuner, but who needs one, in Japan.

This is silly. Anyone can walk into Costco and get a 32" Vizio with the same resolution for $699. I watched one monkey buy two 32" and a 37" on Sunday.
the konka 32" is a steal and the picture is great for $499
