Illinois governor ordered to hurry up and pay ESA

we'll just wait for it to fall outta the sky...A federal judge has ordered Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's administration to devise an exit strategy a payment plan for the $510,250 (and swelling) the state owes to the ESA. U.S. District Judge Matthew Kennelly ruled in August that Illinois should pay the ESA for legal fees incurred while fighting a law that barred the sale of violent or sexually explicit video games to minors -- the law was found to be unconstitutional.

Since the ruling, an additional $8,800 of interest has been added to the state's tab, prompting Kennelly to demand that Blagojevich & co. submit a plan "with specificity" by December 18. "The time for waffling has passed," reckoned the judge.

[Thanks, Bob]
