Only problem that I can see with it at the moment is that it all revolves around the 3.02 firmware licensing scheme that Sony has changed since the 3.03 update. So basically you can only have one game at a time unless you can get a hold of another key file, but it's still probably the greatest achievement of the homebrew community so far. I just put the two games in two different folders with the key file in both folders. The problem is that they both save into the save folder...so I'm scared to save the game with the second game I added! I'll backup my save files now and test it out. This would give you the ability to play your old psone games, while the PS3 store probably wouldn't take a hit. It seems like you're referring to original PlayStation titles, not the PSX. The industry still refers to the original Playstation/PSOne as the PSX (apparently due to the internal name being 'Playstation Experimiental'.  This is prior to that PS2 that was actually named the PSX.
