You can create your own personalities with 221 different sound "slots" and add your own body animation sequences. I expect a large user community to develop with people sharing custom personalities the way kids share Pokemon trading cards. In the meantime, I'm maintaining a news update page for this talented little robot:

http://www.robotsrule.com/html/robosapien-rs-media.php

Robert Oschler

Comments on Robosapien RS Media coming stateside this summer

I hope it's better than the original Robosapien I own. After sitting on my shelf for a few weeks, it would no longer walk on my smooth wood floors -- it would waddle in place, but not actually move an inch (new batteries didn't solve the problem). I see TONS of reports of v2 not being able to walk properly, so I kinda expect the new version to suck (what good is the video camera if you can't make the robot walk where you want it to?).

Rob

Comments on Robosapien RS Media coming stateside this summer

Pity they haven't released the source code for its linux brain.

Nocturnal

Comments on Robosapien RS Media coming stateside this summer

Wow, that's dorky.
