I actually like that Dish did that. I applaud them.  I got the standard 622 DVR when it came out.  I've held off on the HD DVR's because every time they've come out with one there was always room for obvious improvement.  When I saw the ViP622 for the first time I was impressed, but it was still only 90% there; it needed a bigger hard drive for HD recording.
