I really hope they'll pull their heads out of their asses and release the MAXX here on GSM with HSDPA. We STILL don't have a really good 3G phone (not counting those miniature computers with the full keyboard and crap, I don't want to carry one of those around). The SYNC is ugly and this V3xx is a step below in camera, screen, and probably even more. My V3x has definitely been my best phone ever. It's screen is amazing, the 2 MP camera with focus takes spectacular pictures to show on that screen (the inside camera is pretty useless without 3G), and it's just been a very durable phone. It feels very solid and has no dents or cracks after plenty of rough use. So I guess I'm sticking to it and missing out on 3G until a decent 3G phone pops up.

MOTOROLA... (It was 1 cent straight up, then a $50 rebate.) And I don't look like a sheep while talking on it.

Jeff

Comments on AT&T launches MOTORAZR V3xx HSDPA clam

My Motorola Razr V3x has a 2.0 mega pixel and video camera. The video colors are so rich and real. The only draw back is that its a bit heavier but hey, Its nice!!! And you can already feel the state of the art in gadget quality when you hold it in the palm of your hand. Not like those cheap plastic phones at the Verizon Store, that when you open up the flip phones you hear "CREEK", "CREEK" !!!!

GioNYC

Comments on AT&T launches MOTORAZR V3xx HSDPA clam

Haha, yeah, that's one of the big reasons I want the MAXX because it'd be the same great phone, plus even better looking, faster (GPU finally enabled), and smaller. If you're going to make it a world phone, make it a real one and use QUAD bands. If not, then just make it dual band, 'cause it'll be annoyingly useless internationally with only one gsm band access. It would be stupid. AT&T is a behemoth of a brand in the telecom world. Cingular has been around for what? less than a decade? Besides, Cingular is a North-America only brand. AT&T is known *GLOBALLY*.

Kieran Coghlan

Comments on AT&T launches MOTORAZR V3xx HSDPA clam

It's no SYNC? That's right, it's superior to the SYNC. MUCH faster processor, thinner, better audio, better features, better interface (finally). I've had my share of crappy Motorolas and the V3xx is a breath of fresh air. I had the SYNC for almost a month when I finally just traded it in for the V3xx. I had a V3i and didn't want another RAZR, but this phone is just too good. I don't regret trading my SYNC in because really, it was an inferior phone.

I have a Samsung D900 and I like that phone, but technically, I've never used a phone as nice as the V3xx. The V6 maxx is bigger (noticeably when you actually hold it) and more expensive and not really compatible in the US. So for Americans, the V3xx is really an excellent phone, which is really probably one of the best phones you can buy here right now.

mike

Comments on AT&T launches MOTORAZR V3xx HSDPA clam

I just purchased a new cell and the AT&T sales store really pushed the Motorola V3xx phone. Said it had the best reception of any phone. I was also considering the Samsung A707 SYNC but didn't go that way because having quality reception is very important. In looking at the specs, Samsung has one more network frequency than the RAZR V3xx. (850,900,1800,1900). RAZR doesn't have the 900. Samsung also has GPRS,UMTS and HSDPA. RAZR has UMTS and HSDPA. I have an opportunity to switch out and would like comments on one versus the other.

Betty Anderson
