I wish my state of Kentucky would get on board with this. Our Governor has this initiative called "No Child Left Offline" where they give computers to schools and the like. This would be great for Eastern Kentucky where there are many poor communities that would benefit from having a laptop such as this. If states didn't want to divvy up the money, they could finance half of what it costs $50/$75 and have parents pay the rest. If there's a family who cannot afford it still, they could pay the rest for those less fortunate children. Perhaps I should write my heads of government on this matter--I think I will.

DannyMac

Comments on Quanta confirms one million OLPC XO orders

This has been one of the most over covered stories on engadget!
How is this still a story?
