Import game releases for the week 2/18/07

Every week PSP Fanboy brings you the import releases for the coming week. Since your PSP can play games from any region, the only limitation is your bravery and langauge skills. It's a big week for import PSP games as Monster Hunter Portable 2nd hits Japan's retailers. There's also another Simple 2500 game and games that let you drive a Taxi and control and airport.

Continued after the jump ...

Akudaikan Manyuuki: Seigi no Yaiba

This is a board game based game set in a samurai setting. I don't really know much else about it other than that. Only import if you know what this game is, or are incredibly brave.

Boku wa Koukuu Kanseikan: Airport Hero New Chitose

In Japan airport and train simulators are popular genres. There's pretty much no chance in hell either will ever catch on in the US. With that in mind, if you have a jonesing for airport simulation and don't mind trying to figure out complicated game mechanics in Japanese than import this game.

Metal Slug Complete

I love Metal Slug, but I wouldn't import this when it's coming out to the US. If for some reason you'd rather have the Japanese version of this Contra-like shooter than it's worth owning.

Monster Hunter Portable 2nd

The sequel to the hit monster killing game, this is probably the biggest import release this week. The game plays like an MMO or Diablo with giant monsters that you can slay and lots of character customization. You can play with up to four other adventurers.

Simple 2500 Series Portable Vol. 9: The My Taxi

The Simple 2000 Series games have finally started coming out in the US in the forms of Onechanbara vorteX and Earth Defense Force 2017, but none of the PSP volumes have yet be announced. In this volume you drive a taxi and pick up customers Crazy Taxi style and customize your taxi with over 100 parts to help you get the job done. Hopefully the Xbox 360 Simple 2000 games sell well and some of these PSP games can them make the jump over.

And the Best versions (greatest hits) of Daisenryaku Portable, LocoRoco, and Star Soldier
