Unfortunately, I'd have to give up my sweet deal with Sprint to get a decent phone. Hard decsion to make. It would take many many years to haggle cingular down to a plan similar to what I have with Sprint currently.

I really wish fair trade was allowed to with Sprint so you could get any phone a manufacturer made that works on the US CDMA standard. No manufacturer will make a US CDMA phone unless Sprint or Verizon says they'll sell it though since you can only run a Verizon authorized phone or a Sprint authorized phone - seems silly you can't even switch a Verizon phone to Sprint and vice versa. Thanks but the 6800 is still too thick 21mm, it still is USB 1.1, it still is only 240x320 and still only uses lithium rechargables.

If you look at the iMate ultimates - their thickest of the 5 is only 18mm the thinnest is 11mm, they ALL are VGA - 640x480, ALL are USB 2.0 (which came out half a decade ago but that is too advanced for HTC and for crying out loud, I can even get toys with lipo (lithium polymer) batteries - can't we have more advanced technology in our $500 phones to match our $100 toys? Frankly the 6800 was obsolete a year ago - releasing 2 months from now isn't exactly keeping me on the edge of my seat.

Thus, programs have to be specifically coded to use insanely little fonts, or everything just looks 'smoother'. Do you really need smoother? QVGA screens aren't really hard to read.

If you're going to complain, you should say whether or not you want more information or higher quality display, not just "WAAAH NO VGA!"
