The other issue is price. The PS3 still costs a tremendous amount! This isn't the gold mine that will save the PS3. People aren't paying $500 for Second Life!

Does the character you create in Home equate to a persistent online identity? (gamertag?) I see myself spending zero time in the homeworld (which was a great game btw)socializing with weirdos and creeps who choose to stand around and watch virtual TVs. The same reason I don't really like the Mii feature on my Wii. Great, he stands there, now what? You can invite people you meet in Home to play other games (good) but can you see your friends and invite them to play other games while you're playing a different game?

It's a neat feature but not nearly as good as Xbox Live in my opinion, just because it doesn't seem to be "always on". During any Xbox game, I can pull up my guide and see everything I want to know about the people I'm playing with as well as what my friends are playing. I don't need to ask them to invite me to their trophy room.
