Hitachi shows plasma commitment with new plant in Malaysia
LCDs, with their fancy 1080p resolution and vibrant colors, might be all the rage these days but that hasn't stopped Hitachi from building another plasma manufacturing plant. Not everyone wants an LCD and this plant is proof of that very statement as it's being tooled for their 42-inch displays. We here in the States won't be seeing any of the sets coming from the bowels of this plant however as these sets are going to be shipped to Australia and Southeast Asia. We should though reap the benefits of yet another Hitachi plasma manufacturing facility as it will lower the production costs of other plasmas that are US bound. Maybe we are stretching a bit there but we can always dream of lower priced, quality plasmas.
