It's only like a couple dollars a day, but they do get money that they can buy tvs and electronics with. And their beds. And whip them ten times a day until they commit suicide. Even if they just stole an apple.

Let's mess them up so completely that they have no chance of rehabilitation and, if they survive,
come out completely insane and even more criminal. What a brilliant idea.

Sod it, let's just have capital punishment for all crimes, unless you're a celebrity or mates with the president.

...

No, I am not saying that all prisoners should get a PS3, a movie channel subscription and free strippers on a Friday night. Of course not. But they are human beings and human beings go insane if they spend a long period of time without any relaxation or enjoyment whatsoever, which appears to be what you are advocating. Sure, they deserve punishment, but not 24 hours a day because that is counter-productive to all involved (unless you're purely after the strongest revenge possible in all cases, in which case maybe you need to look at yourself more than at them).

Leo

Comments on Sony's PlayStation 3 barred from British prisons

First of all why cant that idiot prison guy get them a 20GB PS3... Sad people, you should go read some Foucault. Any ways todays prisons are not about punishment they are about rehabilitation. Why don't you talk to a corrections officer and ask their opinion.
