The original post is *not* a hack. Get back to me when somebody is doing subtractive sculpting in a CAD program using a Wiimote as a scalpel, or flying a real flight-school simulator using a Wiimote + Nunchuck instead of a yoke. Hell, get back to me when somebody uses a Wiimote as a badly-overpriced wireless doorbell (it's got buttons and a speaker, right?). If the posting were a howto -- instructions on getting gestures working in Linux, for instance -- that would be different.
