Well I agree w/you, but if the iPhone has been in the planning as long as they say it's been, 3G networks were only in the planning stages and are only now getting rolled out. I'm glad that I'm in a 3G area, don't get me wrong, but it's easier to integrate the Edge network into a phone being planned rather than a 3G which isn't truly available to everyone yet.

Now that it's out however, it shouldn't take too long to integrate it (and since other laptop makers have put it in their higher end models, why not Mac)... I fully believe 3G will get into the iPhone, just not in the first model since it takes so long to get FCC approval on such a device.
