The maximum size microSD memory card supported depends on the handheld software version. Review the following information on supported microSD file size:
BlackBerry handheld software version microSD card size limit
Software version: 4.2.0 Up to 2GB
Software version: 4.2.1 Up to 4GB
Software version: 4.2.2 Up to 4GB
Software version: 4.3.0 Up to 8GB

As of today, June 10th, 2008, T-Mobile is on software version 4.2.2.180 for the BlackBerry Curve 8320 and therefore the 8Gb cards do not work. I was told by RIM that it will recognize 4Gbs of the 8Gb capacity but i have not had anyone verify this. Also, i have not found anywhere any information about if the BlackBerrys support MicroSDHC either so if anyone have info on this, please respond!

SD and SDHC should be clearly defined!

While SOME SDHC devices MAY be compatible with standard SD cards, standard SD devices cannot handle SDHC cards.

I think the SD Consortia could be a little clearer about this.

Although I've read the "successully tested" only online, I DO, however, know from personal experience that 4Gig MicroSD/HC cards (SanDisk in my case) DEFINITELY work with both the N95-1 and the N95-3. Note: The N95-2 is also known as the "N95 8 Gig", and has no card slot available. which sucks for me cuase i just bought the 4G micro

2) samsung does not support mac OS file system

3) attaching my micro to my windows machine keeps bring up the msg "pls insert a disk into drive e:"
which means that either im doing something wrong
or the samsung format doesnt support the xp format either

Does anybody know if the U740 (dual flip)from Samsung will? It says only 2GB max, but I have seen some comments suggesting it can take at least 4GB if not 8GB.
