Hey, you wouldn't have any problems with Xbox live, because all you are doing is reworking the original components. mkay first of all, the software and hardware remains the same. From the machine's point of view, and for that matter from Microsoft's point of view, you have a perfectly functional XBOX360. If Microsoft were to take control of your unit via XBOXLive and check the physical specs or any other weird hardware changes, the only thing they would see is MAYBE a disconnected Memory Card bay. If you were to include it then it would register like normal.

Put simply, its like a desktop computer put into a modded case in the form of a laptop. No changes in software. ITS THE SAME MACHINE!
