They took those pictures, and they made the laptop. Yes, the watermarks are annoying... They look to be pre-release official Dell press photos, but I guess if Engadget wants to claim to be the source (after many, many blogs rehash the photos), they have the right to do so, if it's some kind of "exclusive". Don't worry... Earlier this morning, there were quite a few sites that now had information on the m1330. A few gave acknowledgement to Engadget, most did not. What I didn't see were any images.

Engadget isn't throwing a © Copyright, per se, on the images, just tossing their name on it. Everyone knows they didn't make the laptop and they're not trying to pull a fast one. They simply knew they were hitting the web first with the news and wanted credit.

I'm not sure who would really be upset about that watermark, unless...hmm...uh huh. This Dell XPS M1330 looks awesome. Kudos to Dell for listening to its customers. I think the 12in screen on the M1210 is too small so i'll be upgrading on June 26 as soon as I can.
