Has there ever been flash media in a non-binary digit like that before? I've seen them run the gamut all over the place, but never a non-doubled number. 4MB, 8MB, 16MB, 32MB, 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB, 1024MB (1GB), 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, and so on. I got my first 1GB microSD card a few weeks back, and was really shocked by how tiny it was.  8GB?  That's just showing off.<br><br>Somebody asked earlier, but let me rephrase for clarity: what are some of the more common devices that support the SDHC flavor of these cards? Well, the do for the Nokia N95.<br><br>I imagine there are other sources, but I can say it's always a bit iffy. Companies won't always say how big the cards can get & still be compatible w/ their products. I have a Verizon Wireless XV6700 and I have two 2gb MicroSD cards ... I got a 4gb MicroSDHC card today and I tried the re-formatting trick. I mean, who looked at a mini-SD and thought, hey, thats nice, but sheesh, its huge, what I need is storage I can accidently inhale! I can't eject my micro card without it shooting halfway across the room. There's a point at which miniturisation ceases to be useful.
