Am I the only one that finds it completely odd the Apple Inc. was able to make it possible for iPhone to view DOCX and XLSX (Office 2007) before Microsoft was able to make it possible for OS X?

All Microsoft as done so far for compatibility between Office 2007 for Windows and Office 2004 for Macintosh is create a DOCX converter that converts to RFT and lose the majority of the formatting.
