Yes im referring to the ps3, but i hate sony, but the fact stays there, people are idiots, and will continue eating apples shit. Sadly, i own a mac, but their products are NOT that good! there better and worse, its just a fuckigng, ya know, idk what it is, if its a crazy or what. All i know is its been taken to far, it may be good, but really, its getting out of hand. Last time a truly good product came out, no one gave a rats ass about it, since thousands come out a year, but i dont get why this is getting all the hype, when other, ACTUAL smartphones are out, doing better, more innovative things, and actually are "smart" I officially hate Apple and AT&T (ironically i use both *runs and cries in shame* ) :(

Goemon4

Comments on David Pogue's iPhone musical sing-a-long

what is this "truly good product" are you referring to? if no one "gave a rats ass", could it possibly because it actually wasn't a "truly good product"?

and why do people like you keep on referring it to a "smartphone"? it's not... it's a multi-touch phone that has 4/8gb embedded that focuses on media and internet browsing... the next closest thing springs to mind is the nokia N91 and it is nowhere near as sleek nor popular (the sales number says it all)... if you claim that it does 'next to nothing' then please name a phone you have in mind with the emphasised function of the iphone - a multi-media sleek phone with multi-touch technology. struggling? thought so...

and no, i don't own anything from apple apart from their shares, so i haven't 'sold them my soul'. it has actually earned me enough dough i could get a few dozens of the iphones if i could be bothered. it doesn't cater to me (i need 3G and i like moto), but i can see why it caters to a lot of people (or fanbois) and boy am i glad that i acted on what i see...

LordFarkward

Comments on David Pogue's iPhone musical sing-a-long

@ LordFarkward - I am referring to actual smartphones, which sell, but dont get the public attention of this

to your second paragraph, i dont refer to it as a smartphone, i refer to it as a souped up nano. And it does to next to nothing, when you look at all the things PalmOS and Windows mobile devices can. And another product like the iPhone, that has more functions you ask? http://www.brighthand.com/default.asp?newsID=13082 I dont know to much about it, other than that. And there are many other touch-based multi media devices out there, just look outside the tv ads.

And glad that your cashing in on their stocks. that was the clear goal of this product, cash. And it dosnt cater to me either, hence why i dislike it so much. the only real reason its so popular, is because its hip to have. It dosnt matter what it can do, if it makes you cool, people will buy it (another reason why i hate it) Imo, its nothing new to me, i have had previous devices that can do similar things, the iphone has useless features, and dosnt even innovate on what it is, a phone. Id like to see a real product come out that innovates the actual idea of the phone, not bog it down with useless features that arent meant for a phone.

Goemon4

Comments on David Pogue's iPhone musical sing-a-long

@LordFarkward: how is multitouch a function? It's a frigging UI principle. A means to get something done. What exactly it gets done compared to real smartphones remains to be seen.
