I've seen the video trailers of the gameplay and a ton of the levels are pulled directly from the 2003 release.

I'm a HUGE ninja gaiden fan and was seriously considering getting the PS3 for this title alone, but once I found out it was essentially the same game, there is simply no reason to upgrade.

especially with how fast tech evolves, are they really thinking that their consol is that powerful. I know it's 1 mabey 2 gens above whats out there but it seems a liitle bit of hubris to think that that it's just a matter waiting out the competitions technological half-life.

I think, just like every platform out there, it's the content (which is why they spend so heavily in software). These games need to reach the level of art and literature to really utilize the raw power od the PS3. And invole a user experience is breaks out of the "Gamer" mode (button input) and provide a more imersive experience. Backwards compatibility and online game downloads mean nothing? I'd wager that Wii has 5 (8 counting MS, Genesis, and TB16) systems on the market and 360 has old Xbox + Live.

- I want Sony CONNECT to be merged into the PlayStation Store/Network.
- A MUSIC purchase/subscription download service for both the PSP/PS3.
- A MOVIE purchase/subscription download service for both the PSP/PS3.
- Full access via a computer and via the PS3/PSP for purchasing/re-downloading content and account management.

These types of services have been promised, for about a year and 1/2, now. They should've already happend in hind-sight. I bought my PSP to be my Sony iPod and for web-browsing/TV watching. Thankfully Sony called the device a "Play(???)Station".

I own all three "next-gen" systems, and I'm really pulling for Sony to do well. They pushed the envelope for technology to a whole new level. In 10 years, I don't doubt the PS3 will outdo the 360. However, in three years, how will it stand up to the future Xbox iteration?

This interview made me think Sony might win against the X-Box 360 in about a year or two from now, when many must-have games come out. Still, I don't think it could go against the Wii...

That statement clearly signifies why we can't trust Sony. Sony US announced a price drop, but Sony JP might not have been clear that the drop is only until the stock of 60gb PS3's is gone (like everyone is figuring).

Either way, they've still got one 499 SKU and one 599 SKU (once the new PS3 model comes out) so nothing has really changed. For what it's worth, Sony seems content to keep the 499 SKU a rarity and push the 599 SKU with all their might. It's a mistake, in my opinion.]]>Jul 16th 2007 3:03AM
