Not me. Digic III isn't even a question. If you're going to invest in camera equipment, it's going to be lenses in the long run. Putting image stabilization on the lens is more effective than the body because it's tailored to the attributes of each lens. Not a one size fits all solution like Sony/Olympus/futureNikon would have you believe.

I read this guy every day to get aggregated updates, though sadly no RSS.
http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/Canon_40D.html

Brendan Falkowski

Comments on Canon's EOS 40D appears on CIPA list

I've owned a Canon 10D for 3 1/2 years. I've shot with almost every camera in the Canon lineup, and I have no complaints about shooting with a 10D. The image quality was and is as good as anything I've used for printing 24x30, 16x20, or smaller.
The real investment is lenses. At the time I bought, Nikon was lagging. Canon had the 70-200 f2.8 IS, and if you've never had the opportunity to use it, WOW! It's a fantastic lens. Nikon has since come out with their VR lenses, but they haven't kept up with the variety that Canon has... and after investing $7000 in lenses, I can say that I won't be terribly concerned about some Nikon fanboy's comment about "terribly build quality" when discussing the 10D/20D/30D bodies. I have 70,000 frames through my 10D, I haven't any issues with build quality. The 20D that I've used on occasion has no problems either.
Frankly, if Nikon had come to market 3 1/2 years ago with a camera that had the same image quality and ISO range, along with a larger lens selection, I would have stayed with Nikon. As it is, Nikon has been slow, and the Nikon faithful have had to sit and wait. I was tired of waiting and left.

Canon_User

Comments on Canon's EOS 40D appears on CIPA list

Build of the 20D? Canon has just dominated the Electronically Focused (EF) lens market for years. They started with the forethought to put the focusing motor in the lens and invented the Large Mouth lens mount (EOS) to allow for f1.0 apertures and greater lens to body stability. The motor in the lens allows for a specially designed motor to work with each lens, like a bigger and stronger motor for a big telephoto and light and quick motor for a normal or shorter lens, pure Genius! No one else even comes close. The patents finally ran out on the EOS mounting system, and guess what? Nikon Now thinks the motor in the lens is a great idea too!!
The 20D and 30d and XT and XTi that I own and use daily have quality (all of them) all over Any competitor that I've ever seen. My shooting buddies agree with me too
Canon just Rules.
