SanDisk offers up 4GB Ducati USB flash drive
If you're the type who prefers your vehicles to come with only two wheels, and you also don't mind paying entirely too much for a USB flash drive so long as its branded right, SanDisk's latest could be right up your alley. Amongst a number of Ducati-badged flash memory (shown after the jump), SanDisk has also unveiled the Extreme Ducati Edition USB Flash Drive, which doesn't do much to avoid looking like your average Liquid Paper Dryline Grip. Aside from the awkward resemblance, this glossy red device sports the same color effects as those found on the Ducati Corse team motorcycles, includes 4GB of internal storage, and touts write speeds of up to 20 megabytes-per-second. 'Course, that staggering $124.99 you'll lay down for this piece also includes a "custom lanyard" and SanDisk's RescuePRO Deluxe software, but we imagine the pricetag won't matter much for true aficionados.[Via PCLaunches]

Yawn.
Oh, I'm sorry I left his thing o

Finally, a USB flash drive that bares a vague resemblence to a motorcycle. I'll bet the low drag coefficient allows it to fly farther through the air when thrown.
blackfeather @ Jul 19th 2007 2:10PM
It looks more like a DustBuster.
bondsbw @ Jul 19th 2007 12:26PM
Looks like a gas pump. Or a hand-held vacuum cleaner.
paloooz @ Jul 19th 2007 12:27PM
And I bet it gets in the way of other USB plugs and devices.
When will they learn?
Rob @ Jul 19th 2007 1:12PM
I thought the very same thing. It does look like a hand held vacuum cleaner.
Why don't they just drop all that silly garbage added to it, and sell me the thing for $29.99.
Then I'd consider it.
I like Ducatis, but what's the point of this?
harpreet @ Jul 19th 2007 12:50PM
look at the irony of the situation.....this thing is made aerodynamic...but its way too costly to be thrown out of the window!!!
Chuckles McGee @ Jul 19th 2007 12:57PM
The number of times my jet-set lifestyle has been impaired by non-aerodynamic flash drives is more than I can count. Just last week I lost my house, my kids and my wife in a mishap involving a clunky flash drive. Now, thanks to Ducati, I can sleep peacefully.

I tipped you guys on this yesterday (26 hours ago) and no credit given?
Randy Gentry @ Jul 19th 2007 1:47PM
That's $124.99 I can put toward a real Ducati.

Looks like a crank bait. Put some treble hooks on the bottom and glue a lip on the front and you've got a USB fishing bait!
Jeff @ Jul 19th 2007 2:07PM
The good thing about USB-Memory-Stick-Fishing-Bait is you'll always get a byte....
Rainier @ Jul 19th 2007 2:04PM
Ooo!! USB turntable cartridge!
Matt @ Jul 19th 2007 3:09PM
My vehicle has only two wheels...
Segway!!!!!
morcheeba @ Jul 19th 2007 3:26PM
Not so sure I'd want to sit on it...

with the word extreme on it you would expect
extreme data transfers of at least 150MB/s.
it looks like they make slow solid state drives on purpose so that you waste money on top cpus and gpus thinking fast hardware cards and chips make a pc faster, when they just dont. Wanna impress me with a revolution in computing ?! MAKE A FAST fkn flash drive instead of a bigger one for a change.
