I gave the Gigabeat a lot of consideration before getting my iPod with video.  But then I heard that MS was coming out with the Zune.  Once I saw the Zune and all its shortcomings, I went ahead and got the iPod. I'd still consider them better than iPods or Zunes. Wow all we can hope is the WiFi is more like SanDisk's and Archos's rather than the limited abilities on the Zune. I always thought the last one (before the Zune) was a better option than an iPod anytime. I don't need wifi or a store to by DRM'd shit from. Although it was a fabulous product that had many advantages over the ipod, it has to be one of the WORST SUPPORTED MP3 PLAYERS, EVER!! Toshiba never bothered to fix the infamous battery problem and never even attempted to come out with a single firmware upgrade. Plus, their tech support drones have to be the worst in the industry.
