Why would anyone prefer a DS over a PSP, when a PSP can emulate basically all Nintendo games, including a large section of N64 games?

And thats not what's exciting, but running UMD rips off the MemoryStick with a custom firmware is bliss. So many games..

Too bad the PSP's sold now have to remain "stock"... until someone releases another downgrader that is.

No dead pixels... well, actually very few pixels are ever dead (on any similar displays aswell), they are simply locked.

Thankfully you have 3 options
1) Run the pixel unlock video on high brightenss for 30 min from the PSP
2) Exchange it
3) Deal with it

Like it or not, it would simply be irrational to disagree that this product's benefits greatly exceed its disadvantages, especially when compared to a DS.

I am not a fanboy, I have both the PSP and DS. Well, happy gaming on your DS. Whatever makes you sleep at night.

That doesn't change the fact that the PSP has way more features, available games and mods. Also being powerful, with processing speed similar to that of a Pentium II and a decent internet browser, it just makes it much better.

BTW the DS Browser is painfully slow and is limited to Text and Images @ 28.8 kb/s..

As for load times, this is highly exaggerated as is, but considering that the PSP is basically a Portable PS2 (Hence the name ;) it makes sense.

Also, I must add that the load times are seemingly faster for PSP ISOs from the MemoryStick, and the battery life has lasted me more than 6 hours playing them.

P.S. Actually, now you can downgrade no matter what Firmware you have. The limiting factor is now the PSP version. All 3000s and the 2000s with a specific motherboard can not be modded using this way though. That's why the DS is outselling the PSP for years now.
