There are obviously the disadvantages to this device, but I like the concept. In fact, I'd love to see it implemented in an actual charger (or external battery) for devices. It cost about £7 ($14). I find rechargeable batteries are never ready when I need them, and don't like having to carry around spare Alkalines.  I could literally toss this thing in my glovebox or a drawer for a week and not worry about the charge on it when I want to pull it out and use it.<br><br>$340 and solid state, though?  WTF? Watches don't require that much energy, so the self winding works fine for it.
