I can trade in boxes at a center a block from my home within minutes, and in-home service calls are FREE and on-time. And they go above and beyond, replacing all of the cabling, giving out free cables (I need only go into the office and ASK for an HDMI cable and they'll hand me one at no charge). I also had to deal with their awful service for clients of mine. One client needed internet on two computers, so Comcast charged them $10 a month extra for a second IP address and gave then a network HUB. I had tried to set up printer sharing and couldn't figure out for the life of me why their computers couldn't see each other. That's how I figured it out. While I could have configured it to work through that, it would have left them vulnerable, plus they were paying too much. Had them buy a $30 router and drop the extra IP address.

Anyway, Time Warner bought out Comcast in this area recently, as well as Adelphia, and I'm happy. Lowers my odds that I'll have to deal with them anytime soon.

Jarrett Kaufman

Comments on US appellate court upholds order blocking DirecTV ads

Darn.
