AMD started this project as a non-profit attempt to give less fortunate children the same educational opportunity as those who cannot afford the technology. When Intel realized how much attention it was getting from the media, they had to make sure there logo was all over it. Obviously Intel is a larger company and can afford give up the chips at an even cheaper price than AMD already was, so this is how it ended up. AMD already donated so much time and money in the project and Intel is going to get the recognition.
