Dell is one of the world biggest companies but still fails to hire a decent designer. What angers me is that there are so many people involved in this. The designer, the assistant designers, engineers, technicians, CEO and focus group. I think the current Inspirons are an improvement over the previous generation, and the XPSM1330 has a generally nice look, although still perhaps not quite as "sexy" as the Sony Vaio SZ it most closely competes with.  <br><br>But I do have to agree on this one - I am assuming these are design mockups. When I saw it I thought Dell was entering a new era, an era of competing against Sony, Apple and HP. How this was passed by the Dell industrial design team is beyond me! I don't like how the touchpad is off-center.  I'd much rather see the touchpad smack in the middle... I find Dell similar to IBM's not-really-good-looking laptops but usually with coupons, you can get Dell's for ridiculously low prices - though XPS systems typically don't have as much coupons as their normal brethren.
