If true, that would be a nice touch. The 40D's sensor is actually about 7.5 times the size of the G9's, meaning that even if both are having the same pixel count, the 40D would allow 7.5 times more light per pixel. <br>In photography, light is what the camera is trying to capture. The more light it gets per pixel, the better it can resolve the brightness and color. The end result would be a higher quality image. PRP in atlanta told me that they would have a few bodies ready to rent. Presumably delay will depend on when they offered this up to the fcc.  There is no mention of European release-which is normal but frustrating.  It will also be twice the price in Euroope.  I hope the focussing is right on such a high end product. Those will give you close to a 50 mm effective focal length with the 1.6 crop factor, which is good for many situations.
