Keepin' it real fake, part LXXIII: Lasonic rips the Samsung YP-T9

Lasonic's got you covered with the VP-SBK line of DAPs, which feature the same 1.8-inch screen size and basic design as the Sammy, but flips the D-pad color scheme and adds a built-in speaker and, bizarrely enough, an ebook reader for those who've always wanted glasses. 2GB versions are apparently popping up in Fry's right now for $60 -- and we bet Samsung's lawyers are already on the phone.

I've got news for you guys. Samsung probably bought the design from some massive Chinese factory in the Guangdong Province.

For ten or fifteen thousand dollars, you too can start an mp3 player company and sell your own "Original Mp3 Players!" (hey, it was original when the factory designed it, so technically it aint no lie!). These companies will even put your very own logo on it for you for about 20 more cents per unit, depending on how complex it is.

You can sell them on the internet so cheap, they won't even bother sending it back to get repaired if it breaks. And if they still want to, tell them they have to pay for postage and make it high enough that it isn't worth it for them...
