I think that the prices of all GPS units are completely outrageous. For what they want for them, you can buy a full size computer, laptop or desktop, that can do much more than these little things. There is no reason they have not come down in price in the last few years especially with all of the competion and with all of the people that have them.

Jason

Comments on Garmin intros the nüvi 750, 760, and 770 GPS units

ancora

hanna

Comments on Garmin intros the nüvi 750, 760, and 770 GPS units

If things are on sale you can get a decent GPS for 300 or less... Why those functions were not in the earlier Nuvi's is a serious puzzle. But why cant they add the routing option back when entering the destination for least use of freeways, most use of freeways, shortest distance ect. All of the other companies GPS like Magellan and Tom Tom have this feature. The early Garmins like the street pilot III and 27XX models have it. As soon as they started with the new models they took this option away which is not only useful but in my opinion a safety issue. Who wants to take a route through a strange town off the main highway and risk your life. You should be able to select most use of highways as an option.

lbalk

Comments on Garmin intros the nüvi 750, 760, and 770 GPS units

If you think these units are expensive, you should check out what car makers are charging for in-vehicle navigation systems.
