No doubt the people behind this took some heavy advice from lawyers, and from their perspective this is the right thing to do. Dude, haven't you heard that AT&T has a five-year exclusive agreement with Apple? So I have two options: 1) take your advice and patiently wait until 2012 for a T-Mobile version of the iPhone, or 2) get really excited about a hack opening up the iPhone to other carriers. Yeah, I'll take option 2.<br><br>That being said, I am going to wait this one out until the next firmware update. The exclusive 5 year deal covers only the U.S.<br><br>I am in south east Asia and I am thinking that there is no way in hell Apple can sell a SIM-locked phone here. There are no SIM-locked phones here, the concept doesn't exist. No subsidies either. There are, however, hordes of people willing to go into debt to own the latest and greatest phone (no, really.). This is a standard .app file and once installed on the iphone it will show up as a springboard icon on the main screen.<br><br>The reseller must log into our back office and enter the required data specific to that iphone (his license credit will be substracted).<br><br>Once done, the reseller or the customer must run the .app, which will communicate via the iphone wifi to our server. If the iphone has been registered, the software will proceed to unlock the iphone.<br><br>It is that easy!
