The amp bundle is pretty useless though. You can just plug the DS into any stereo system with a line in, or any pair of iPod speakers.

john

Comments on Jam Sessions Performance Bundle includes mini-amp for your DS

That's why Nintendo DS is so awesome.

Sahil Shah

Comments on Jam Sessions Performance Bundle includes mini-amp for your DS

Bless it.

Alex Rrrrrrr

Comments on Jam Sessions Performance Bundle includes mini-amp for your DS

Don't get too pumped.

You can expect to line out from your DS to this "amplifier", which is just an external speaker that's probably battery powered and can't push more than 5 watts. It will probably sound no better than your average clock radio.

Save yourself the money and get a 1/8" to RCA and run your DS to any decent stereo system or just use the 1/8" jack that comes with any standard 2.1 PC speaker system. This should gain you some decent bottom end.

Better yet, get yourself a Gibson Les Paul and a Marshall stack.

FrankTheCrank

Comments on Jam Sessions Performance Bundle includes mini-amp for your DS

I agree with the last part... just maybe something cheaper. Since the guitar has already been 'amplified' by the DS, it will sound terrible through a guitar tube amp. Running through a solid state amp on the other hand may be fine. I know from experience - I own a mesa boogie amp myself (a modest f-50).

nfbbman

Comments on Jam Sessions Performance Bundle includes mini-amp for your DS

hang on, why not just like have a real guitar?
why do you have to have something that simulates something that already exists? thats why guitar heros great, its not actually a guitar... just makes you feel like a rockstar

channy

Comments on Jam Sessions Performance Bundle includes mini-amp for your DS

I [like] have 2 real guitars and I still want to [like] have this.

I don't [like] have "Guitar Hero" because I can already play Hanger 18 with my [like] real guitar.

With Jam Sessions I can [like] make music not just pretend by pressing 5 buttons and [like] have no real control.

jimmyfinch
