Personally, I'm with you. Such a device is exactly what I'm looking for, along with the rest of the planet.

Let's see it happen, maybe with a 32GB flash partition instead of a HDD. It would probably run for days! Alternatively, build it with an 8GB flash partition for the OS, with a conventional HDD.

Plus you can already get the P1610 with a 32gb SSD so I didn't bother to include it :)

After the OQO model 2 not working out for size reasons (inking is hard!) I'm back on the hunt and I swear I've gone through every model on the market.
For me its down to the P1610 w/SSD (my original intention) or the ST5112 and some wireless keyboard/mouse gear. Some of my clients picked up some ST5112s (without any of my own influencing surprisingly) that I will be installing next week so I'll be closer to making my decision then.

I would personally pay $3k for a touchscreen version w/o SSD of the T70XN that could hit at least "7.5 hours" of battery life on balanced power usage mode.
