I could use one of those. The price is too damn high for now and what's with charging $871 for 2GB RAM instead of 1GB. Thanks, I'd buy the 1GB and upgrade myself. Same deal on the hard drive, the - marginal - upgrade is ridiculously overpriced.

Che

Comments on Fujitsu's LOOX T70XN laptop: now in a multitude of colors

This is so cool!!!

debugy2k

Comments on Fujitsu's LOOX T70XN laptop: now in a multitude of colors

This is so cool!!!

debugy2k

Comments on Fujitsu's LOOX T70XN laptop: now in a multitude of colors

Why can't this have a touchscreen and be the true successor to the P1610! Its exactly what I want! Long battery life, small yet usable screen, and enough horsepower to do some inking in Visio and manage documents while onsite.

saq

Comments on Fujitsu's LOOX T70XN laptop: now in a multitude of colors

Now you're just dreaming.

Personally, I'm with you. Such a device is exactly what I'm looking for, along with the rest of the planet.

Let's see it happen, maybe with a 32GB flash partition instead of a HDD. It would probably run for days! Alternatively, build it with an 8GB flash partition for the OS, with a conventional HDD.

THAT's what I want.

brett.chandler

Comments on Fujitsu's LOOX T70XN laptop: now in a multitude of colors

Yeah I am dreaming, there is no such product on the market. Hell, nobody even makes a true 10.4" slate anymore! Fujitsu's ST5111 10.4" slate is the EXACT same physical dimensions as the ST5112 12.1" slate. No point in the 10.4 existing honestly.

Plus you can already get the P1610 with a 32gb SSD so I didn't bother to include it :)

After the OQO model 2 not working out for size reasons (inking is hard!) I'm back on the hunt and I swear I've gone through every model on the market.
For me its down to the P1610 w/SSD (my original intention) or the ST5112 and some wireless keyboard/mouse gear. Some of my clients picked up some ST5112s (without any of my own influencing surprisingly) that I will be installing next week so I'll be closer to making my decision then.

I would personally pay $3k for a touchscreen version w/o SSD of the T70XN that could hit at least "7.5 hours" of battery life on balanced power usage mode. You hear that Fujitsu?

saq

Comments on Fujitsu's LOOX T70XN laptop: now in a multitude of colors

These do look really good, but I fully agree on it (and it's upgrades) being overpriced.
