AT&T). Now they get to recognize inventory as sold as soon as it leaves the warehouse. This does NOT mean there are 1M active iPhones in the hands of users. I'd bet it's a bit less.

And there already is a Zune phone. My HTC/WM5 phone, in addition to having removable/expandable storage and battery, streams any one of tens of thousands of internet radio streams, in full stereo 192kbps MP3 or 92kaccPlus or WMV or any other number of formats (over my $20/mo unlimited 1.5Mbps connection). I can surf the "REAL" internet, complete with Flash, and it's all touchscreen until I want to type, then I can use a real keyboard if I want, or stick with touchscreen. Last, I can sync with Windows Media Player (really sync, not just wipe / copy ala iTunes), and even write my own apps. I can run real GPS navigation and Live! Search and Google Maps and a million other programs because MS doesn't try to control the product after I buy it. I can even set ANY MP3, WAV, or WMA file to a ringtone or any other system sound for that matter.

They don't need to release a Zune Phone. They already make a great mobile platform.
