Project E helps you communicate, make friends

We'll be honest, we see nothing wrong with just phoning someone up and venting your frustrations, but for those looking to insert yet another layer in their relationship, Project E could apparently help. This interesting prototype consists of a web-based backbone (Eco), a central hub (that Exo creature pictured to the right), and a wearable piece of jewelry (Evo). Essentially, these Bluetooth-enabled devices respond to gestural based inputs and can communicate your feelings to other Project E members, and just in case you're feeling adventurous, you can pair up your Evo with a complete stranger and immediately have them added to your aggravation contact list. All in all, this just smells all too tweeny for us to dig, but we're sure there's a niche out there somewhere willing to give it some love.

was this a design project? when something like this is handed in, are the instructors smart enough to look past the word bluetooth, or do they get all gagga because it lights up? "blueeeee... ahhhhh"

and if it wasn't a student, then replace the word instructor with 'boss'.

I do not think that this prototype is that stupid. I work in a University, and TRSUT me: Some people need SERIOUS social skills... They do not know how to handle basic communications... This might help them realize that they sound like assholes most of the time... LOL

Two things:

I can see the confusion this box will have when 200 people are connected while attending a nightclub, or something similar.
"Hm, a dancer ey? Maybe I can find him a dancer!"

Next, bluetooth is terrible!! I would estimate the range to 10m (30 ft) max and no reception through walls. Why should my jewelry tell me the person sitting 3 m (9 feet) away is very happy and therefore I should join him/her in a happy conversation? I have eyes you know!!
