But that said, I keep saying that projectors can be hidden away. In fact, my projector is ceiling mounted practically in plain sight and people think I don't have a TV!

The problem here is that it's not a home theater projector and it's not HD resolution. That, and it's a DLP and they don't say what the color wheel speed is.
