Nah. There are already hundreds of programs ported to the Maemo. You've *got* to be kidding me! The style of it just didn't appeal to me, and my 770 wan't getting a lot of use at the time.<br><br>But just in this last month I've picked up using my 770 again, and news of people getting KDE running on it piqued my interest.  Now I find this simple outline with a image of a sticker has got me a bit excited. Didn't like it. Browsing was too sluggish & the memory was frequently "full". <br><br>The concept was very sound & I loved getting a full VGA on such a small device.<br><br>I'll definitely take a look at any new releases.<br><br>As for aps: 770 had a ton. One nice thing about Navicore it has a WIFI hotspots POI DB so every time you're near one it chimes (if you want and you can specify proximity). Considering buying ipod touch, but the screen size is small compare to 770. Browsing web /viewing video with ipod touch probably not good. Though it will cost you about ~ $300 for the two 16 GB SDHC cards. I am only looking at the same price range of the new gadgets i.e $399. Flash memory of 8Gb in this device will surely compete with ipod touch. I hope Intel MID linux devices would be out as well in Christmas shopping. I sort of hope this is a 2.0 release of the n800 since I just bought one (noooo, curse you, buyer's remorse!) but I'd be glad to see a fresh device in the line so long as they provide something substantial to support and OS releases for the n800 seeing as it's only a year old.<br><br>In any case, I hope they return to a black casing. The silver front looks too much like a handheld game system and too little like a tiny computer (not that it detracts from the usage.) Even if it's just a revision for the WiMax support a clean black surface would suit it much better.
