Gateway finally got the importance of hiring GOOD industrial designers to work with them (whoever designed that other Gateway all -in-one iMac wannabe about 4 or 5 years ago should be taken out back and beaten with stick). So many other failed attempts at iMac-like machines fail because the companies aren;t willing to devote the resources necessary to design development. They slap some sliver plastic swooshy pieces on the same old clunky box and think that's "design." Lets hope the Gateway's beauty is more than skin deep too because good design doesn't end at the case.

The iMac still seems a better deal but it is nice that companies are starting to see that you can;t just throw generic beige or black boxes with a rats next of cables at the home market and have it stick.

The screen is too small (especially on the 1800 dollar model), and I'm not going near Vista but I am glad somebody is trying to up the ante on computer design other than Apple and Sony.

minimalist
