I've worked with the older Satellies and I must say they did feel cheap. Now I have the chance to work with a new one and it feels very sturdy. The smooth finish is very nice too. I work at a major retailer and I see more of these things brought back with weird little BIOS issues. I'd say for every dead HDD I have in another brand, I probably have four BIOS issues with a Toshiba. I wish they'd work harder on revising "final" BIOSs before they drop 60 new models.
