Whats the point if you put it on another S60 phone that dosnt have a tv out option. what happens if i put it on my N73, does it mean i'll play games with a remote 3 times the size of the screen

stealth_samurai

Comments on Wiimote used to control Nokia N95

I know, you hold your Wiimote as usual on one hand, but instead of the Nunchuck on the other hand, you hold your phone! It even works better than the Wii, imagine not having to keep on facing the TV , you can move around in circles etc

Imagine the 2 player possibilities, both of you have an infrared LED on you a-la shocktanks or lasertag, and you can fight with virtual reality melee weapons... Or in this case I think the more correct term would be 'Augmented Reality' , look it up in Wikipedia...For instance the Wiimote's accelerometer can finally be used as a real 360 degree mouse in FPS games ,you just have to hold it at arms length to maximize its movement (the Wiimote doesnt detect rotations), and stuff like c2doom lets you play anything from the original doom to heretic on your s60 phone, and of course you hold it in front of you, almost like looking down the sight of a gun all the time
Or perhaps , if you somehow hold an infrared laser with your phone, you can have games that play like native Wii first person shooter games i.e. using the Wiimote to aim like a lasergun, assuming that your phone is powerful enough to run games like that... Wiimote movement + no IR spot change = view change, Wiimote movement + IR spot movement = aiming...

carmatic

Comments on Wiimote used to control Nokia N95

Link to the actual project page:

http://www.symbianresources.com/projects/wiirider.php

asmo
