I jailbroked my 1.1.1 ipod touch, and i won't be updating it again unless i'm prepared to say goodbye to all the cool shit i can do now.

it was the same with my PSP.

If you like your homebrew stuff, simply wait till the hackers have dealt with an update before processing it. As such, it is only a matter of time before this hole is plugged, and another hue and cry claiming "deliberate bricking" starts making the rounds.

"The hack only works with "virgin" iPhones right now, and unlocking a 1.0.2 phone WITH THE OLD anySIM VERSION 1.0.2 and updating to 1.1.1 will result in a bricked device"...

They have confirmed that unlocking a iphone with 1.0.2 firmware with the NEW anySIM does NOT brick the iphone after the upgrade to 1.1.1. You would only need to run the new anySIM once more. It works with both firmwares without damaging the NVRAM. You should not try to use this on a previously unlocked iPhone with the old anySIM or iUnlock or any of the other first free unlocks. This is where the virginizer is going to come in. so i uninstalled the "anysim' app and i was able to get back on the AT&T network.
1) now the question is that.....if i restore my phone and update to 1.1.1 will it get bricked because "anysim" had run some processes?
2) and if i do update to 1.1.1 and thankfully nothing happens how can i reinstall the nullriver installer ( i had originally installed it using ibrickr but i guess now i guess ibrickr doesnt work with 1.1.1 )

i used virginizer on my 1.0.2 and according to dev team i can then load 1.1.1 and use any sim.But 1.1.1 is not on itunes any more its 1.1.2. Do you guys know how to update 1.1.1 to my phone.Please some one help because after using virginizer my phone dosent except my sim any more. and after installing 1.1.1 i can use any sim..
