Optimus Maximus minutiae: Key Remover shown

Yeah, you aren't the only one wishing the latest tidbit from the Optimus Maximus camp was a press-stopping blurb claiming that these things were actually shipping en masse, but for those who don't mind constant teasing and the most trifling of details, feel free to eat your heart out. Pictured above is the "final" version of the Optimus Key Remover, which sports a glowing orange motif and even features the words "Optimus" and "Key Remover" engraved on each side. 'Course, one (read: us) may wonder why such an insignificant piece of the package (at least we hope this thing is included up front) is even showcased, but when you're paying over $1,500 for a keyboard, every little bit counts, no?

Why show off a trifling tidbit? Makes people think the product actually exists. All we've seen are 3d renders and a smug-looking Art Lebedev sitting with his hands on a bunch of solid-colored blocks we are supposed to believe are fully-functional OLED displays.

How about this...
A full-size touch-screen keyboard, then construct the physical keys on top of the touch-screen, except each key would be a glass lens. With a light-tight keyboard case, only the glass-lens-keys would reflect each image from the touch-screen.

This should be cheaper then making 101 OLED screen-keys.

Well as someone who has put their hard-earned down for this thing, I'm sorta pitying everyone else having to wade through these posts.

On a serious note though, in response to comments about a touch-screen board, it's b een tried, but with no tactile response, it really sucks. I've got one of those laser keyboards and it's the same.
