Hype can lead to bad manifest destiny effects.<br><br>The other question is, why doesn't Engadget simply implement a preferences setting for interests. But make it half decent, I'd want to know important Apple news, just not all of it. The Facebook slider selector is a good example. They said they'll be sending thme ON the 26th October, meaning the earliest anyone will get them is Monday.<br><br>And they wonder why people turn to piracy. "By" implies that the disc will be sent before then, so when the clock strikes midnight tonight and it's not been sent they're no longer upholding their promise.<br><br>I don't see what's so difficult. I frequently order games which come in larger packages and these always arrive on day of release and believe me, they're a hell of a lot more exciting. I'm on the other side of the pond and mine says "Delivers by October 26th". Ships by implies that it will ship BEFORE the date. If they were going to ship it ON the day they would say ships on 26th October.<br><br>This is why I ordered it from them. If it said "Ships on October 26" I wouldn't have done so.<br><br>So, following "Ships by October 26" means it will ship at the very latest on October 25.
